New Brunswick Climate Change Hub
The New Brunswick Climate Change Hub facilitates the exchange of ideas, information and resources between government, private sector and community-based organizations engaged in public education and outreach (PEO) on climate change. The ultimate goal of New Brunswick Climate Change Hub is to improve the capacity of individual and corporate citizens of New Brunswick to understand and address climate change issues.
The objectives of the New Brunswick Climate Change Hub's public education and outreach efforts are to:
- Build awareness and understanding of climate change and its associated health, environmental, social and economic impacts.
- Motivate actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in New Brunswick and reduce New Brunswicker's vulnerability from climate change impacts
- Develop support for climate change related programs in New Brunswick.
The Hub is hosted by the New Brunswick Lung Association, in Fredericton, NB. In addition to maintaining a central office, the Hub supports an Advisory Committee, Working Groups, and a variety of member groups.
